Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, the Minister-designate for Gender, Children and Social Protection has pledged to ensure Ghanaian family values are integrated into the educational curriculum.
According to her, the voices of Ghanaians have loudly declared and she cannot go against that.
She noted that beyond the enaction of the law if absorbed into our curricula children will know some of these family values right from the beginning.
Speaking during her vetting by the Appointments Committee on Wednesday, January 22, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey stated, “As the constitution stands, and as the voices of the people of Ghana have loudly declared, I cannot go against that,” she affirmed during her vetting”.
“Beyond the enaction of the law is to imbibe it into our curricula so that the children will know some of these family values right from the beginning. I think it is more sustainable in addition to a law working,” she stated boldly.
Meanwhile, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey has stated she is committed to resolving school feeding arrears. According to the Gender minister-designate, the NDC manifesto clearly outlines their goal to address the bottlenecks in school feeding and capitation grants.
She further revealed the NDC government aims to extend the school feeding to private schools.
