Moroccan international, Achraf Hakimi has opened up on why he has placed all his wealth in his mother, Saida Mouh’s name.
According to the Paris Saint Germain defender, he always transfers his salary to his mother’s account and has been doing that ever since he signed his first professional contract.
He debunked claims about he hiding his wealth in his mother’s name to shield his assets from his ex-wife following their divorce.
He explained the rational behind the move was because he started earning at a significantly young age and lacked the experience to manage his finances.
In an interview with abtalks, Achraf Hamiki said his mother is the only one who loves him genuinely with no strings attached, and he always relies on her for financial advice.
“When you have money or fame, you can only trust few people. And I think that your mother is the only person that loves you truly, whether you have money or not. She will never wish harm upon me or upon my siblings or the family so she is the person I can trust and can help me,” Hakimi said.
During Hakimi’s high-profile divorce from Spanish-Tunisian actress Hiba Abouk in 2023, his then wife demanded half of his wealth.
However she was shocked when the court revealed he owns nothing as all his wealth was in his mother’s name.
