The incumbent member of parliament for Okaikwei Central Patrick Yaw Boamah has been declared winner of the parliamentary seat by the Electoral Commission.

This follows the official declaration on Sunday, 5th January 2025, after the Accra High Court ordered the EC to complete the collation of all results and declare the winner.

The Electoral Commission complied with the court order and concluded the collation declaring the NPP’s Patrick Yaw Boamah as the winner.

The EC results showed that Patrick Yaw Boamah polled 21,099 votes, defeating the NDC’s Baba Sadiq who secured 19,368 votes.

Mr. Boamah articulated his appreciation to his supporters and pledged to continue diligently serving Okaikwei Central’s people.

“We had to follow due process, and we always believed that the numbers were not going to change. We thank God for a peaceful collation exercise and a peaceful declaration,” he stated.
