Sam Nartey George, the Minister-Designate for Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovation has maintained the claims he made about Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia when he referred to him as a “religious prostitute.”
According to Sam George, he was in the spirit when he made that proclamation.
During Sam George’s vetting by Parliament’s Appointments Committee, Afenyo Markin questioned him if he still maintains his claims.
Here is a narration of what ensued between the two:
Afenyo Markin: You described the former vice president Mahamudu Bawumia as a religious prostitute do you stand by what you said at the time, do you stand by it.
Sam George: Yes, Mr Chairman.
Afenyo Markin: On what basis do You describe Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as a religious prostitute?
Sam George: I think I was in the spirit when I made those comments because they were prophetic, he never became president because I said someone who carried out his faith in that manner would never become president, and he didn’t become president.
So, believe that I was under the Holy Spirit at the time, but the basis for that was that then vice president Mahamudu Bawumia, sort to tell us that he was a member of the boys brigade, the methodist boys brigade.
