Cheddar storms Kantamanto Market, donates GH₵50,000 to traders affected by the fire outbreak

Nana Kwame Bediako, the Leader of the New Force Movement has stormed the Kantamanto Market donating GH₵50,000 to traders affected by the fire outbreak.

Cheddar visited the burnt Kantamanto Market on Friday, January 3, 2025, and pledged to help them rebuild the market for the affected traders.

Nana Kwame Bediako speaking to the media stated, “What I have started is to raise funds for them, so I am giving the old 50 million Ghana which is 50,000 as a token, that is the beginning of the token I am giving to the elders here. I am saying how do we build this, Ghanaians any little you have added it so we can help these people to rebuild the work they were doing.

He further called on the government and decision markers to put in place measures and insurance which is very important.

Fire erupted in the Kantamanto market area during the early hours of January 2, 2025.

The information gathered suggests the fire peaked around 1:00 AM to 1:20 AM and ravaged everything within a two-mile area.

Meanwhile, some traders at the Kantamanto market have started rebuilding their structures displaying their toughness in the face of difficult moments.
