The 2025 edition of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) has been postponed.
According to the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the tournament which was scheduled for February 2025, in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda will now start in August 2025.
This decision according to CAF reflects its commitment to ensuring world-class infrastructure and facilities for the prestigious event.
CAF noted that significant progress has been made in the three host nations, including the construction and renovation of stadiums, training fields, hotels, and healthcare facilities.
However, CAF’s technical and infrastructure experts have advised that additional time is needed to meet the high standards required for a successful championship.
