The theft reportedly amounts to GH¢2,000, leaving the owner devastated by both the financial loss and the betrayal of trust.

In the trending post, he wrote, “Never thought my own friend could do this to me. Watch who you trust around your business.”

The video has garnered thousands of views, likes, and comments, sparking heated debates about trust and accountability in friendships.

Many social media users expressed shock and sympathy, while others emphasized the importance of security measures in businesses.

“Sorry this happened to you, bro. Trust is expensive these days,” one user wrote. Another added, “This is why I have cameras everywhere and only handle my own cash.”

The business owner revealed in subsequent posts that he had been noticing discrepancies in his daily sales reports for weeks, which led him to review the CCTV footage. The betrayal hit harder because he had considered the alleged thief a close friend for years.

As the video continues to trend, the victim has reported the incident to the police, who are now investigating. Meanwhile, he has issued a plea to fellow small business owners to stay vigilant, regardless of how close they are to their employees or associates.
