The immediate past Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has bid farewell to Ghanaians.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in his farewell post, extended sincere gratitude to the people of Ghana for their unwavering support throughout his tenure from 2017 to 2025.
In a post on X, his message reflects a deep sense of humility and patriotism saying, “Thank you, all Ghanaians, for all the support you gave me as Vice President of the Republic from 2017-2025. God bless our homeland Ghana”.
As Dr. Bawumia‘s tenure ends, he reflected on the journey and the shared efforts of Ghanaians in advancing the nation.
His leadership resulted in substantial progress in economic digitization, infrastructure development, and social programs designed to improve the lives of everyday citizens.
Dr. Bawumia sought to lead Ghana as its President, but lost the general election for the presidential race to John Dramani Mahama.
His tenure as Vice President ended yesterday, January 7, 2025 after Ghana’s first female Vice President, Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang was sworn into office.
