The Parliamentary Candidate for Okaikwei Central on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Baba Sadiq is facing intense mockery on social media.
This follows him losing the Okaikwei Central seat after a re-collation of the election results in the constituency.
The incumbent Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, Patrick Yaw Boamah has officially been declared the winner of the constituency with 21,099 votes, defeating Baba Sadiq of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), who garnered 19,368 votes.
This declaration follows a ruling by the Accra High Court, which directed the Electoral Commission (EC) to complete the collation of results for several constituencies, including Okaikwei Central, Tema Central, Ablekuma North, and Techiman South, by January 6, 2025.
After the results were declared, social media users began trolling Baba Sadiq saying he has been “dropped” a term of which became popular after musician Stonebwoy was dropped from performing at the NDC’s victory concert.
Baba Sadiq was alleged to be the reason behind Stonebwoy being dropped from the concert as the two have had a falling out.
