The Office of the President has refuted claims Ato Essien and ten (10) others have received presidential pardons.

This follows information circulating on mainstream media that President Akufo- Addo has granted presidential pardon to certain individuals.

According to a statement signed by the Director of Communications at the Office of the President, Eugene Arhin, these statements circulating in the media are totally false, describing it as inaccurate.

“We wish to categorically state that these assertions are inaccurate, and no pardon has been granted by President Akufo-Addo”.

The statement urged the public to disregard such information.

“The public is kindly urged to disregard any contrary information, and rely on official communications from the Office of the President”.
