Armed men attack and set a cargo truck ablaze in Walewale

A group of unidentified armed men reportedly launched an attack on a cargo truck in Walewale, in the North East Region setting the vehicle and its contents on fire.

The shocking incident unfolded in the early hours of the morning, leaving the local community in a state of disbelief.

Despite the severe nature of the attack, swift action by nearby residents prevented a larger catastrophe.

 

A number of brave individuals rushed to the scene, using fire extinguishers and other resources to suppress the flames, ultimately saving the truck and its valuable cargo from total destruction.

Emergency services were promptly notified, and law enforcement authorities arrived shortly afterward to secure the area and begin their investigation.

 

Local police have assured the public that a thorough probe will be conducted to identify the individuals responsible for the attack and uncover their motives.

This attack has raised serious concerns about the safety and security in the region, with residents voicing alarm over the apparent increase in lawlessness.
