Sam George the minister-designate for communication has jabbed former president Akufo-Addo.
The member of parliament noted that Akufo-Addo in the past said he was in a hurry but formed his government in April.
According to Sam George, in less than fourteen days President Mahama has made his appointment and what holding the appointment now is parliament.
Sam George further disclosed Parliament has had to speed up their work to keep up with the pace of President Mahama.
Speaking to the media Sam George stated, “We are not four weeks yet today is actually, three weeks since his investiture at this time under the previous administration under the republic, people are now being appointed as caretaker ministers”.
“This process that parliament is undertaking I saw it happen in 2017, and I saw it happen in 2021 at this time, parliament had not set up its committees, and parliament has had to speed up its own work to keep up with the pace of President Mahama”.
Sam George also took a subtle swipe at former president Akufo-Addo, saying, “Some President in the past said he was in a hurry I don’t know what to say about President Mahama because the man who said he was in a hurry didn’t form his government till April, President Mahama hasn’t said he is in a hurry but in three weeks after his investiture his government is formed”.
“What is holding back appointments in parliament, it is not the president in 14 days he has made his appointment and I think this is a man on a mission and a man with a vision and he will deliver.”, he reiterated.
