Her visit follows the completion of a grueling 121 hours and 39 minutes of continuous singing in her second attempt to set the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest singing marathon by an individual.
This attempt was held at the Heroes’ Park at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, captivating audiences.
She began the marathon singing session in the early hours of December 21, 2024, and concluded triumphantly on December 25, 2024, a day symbolic of celebration and joy.
Over the five-day period, the Afua Asantewaa performed over 200 songs, representing a diverse range of Ghanaian genres, including gospel, highlife, afrobeat, and hiplife.
In 2023, she sang for an impressive 126 hours, surpassing the existing record of 105 hours set by India’s Sunil Waghmare, but her effort did not qualify due to technicalities
