Hopeson Adorye, one of the prominent figures recently dismissed from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has expressed his frustration over his expulsion, emphasizing that he is not a hypocrite.
Adorye’s comments come after the NPP officially revoked the membership of four members, including himself, Yaw Buaben Asamoa, Nana Ohene Ntow, and Boniface Abubakar Saddique, on November 20, 2023.
The party’s decision was based on the individuals’ repeated failure to adhere to its principles, particularly their public endorsement of a presidential candidate other than the NPP’s elected flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
The NPP press release stressed that their actions were in direct violation of the party’s constitution and obligations, leading to their expulsion.
In a response to his dismissal, Adorye, known for his outspoken political stance, stated, “I am bitter about my dismissal at the airport because I am not a hypocrite.”
