Seasoned journalist and TV host Paul Adom Otchere has been noticeably absent since the announcement of the December 7 general election results, which saw John Mahama elected as president.
Otchere, a vocal supporter of President Akufo-Addo and a staunch campaigner for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has not made any public statements since the NPP’s defeat in the election.
This silence has sparked curiosity and speculation among both his supporters and critics.
In particular, members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), against whom Otchere campaigned, have raised questions about his whereabouts, wondering why the prominent media figure has been so quiet following the election results.
Some critics have even speculated that Otchere may have traveled abroad after the defeat of his party.
During a live radio interview, Dr. Hannah Bisiw-Korsi, the National Women’s Organizer for the NDC, revealed that she had made multiple attempts to reach Paul Adom Otchere by phone but had been unsuccessful.
In an attempt to get answers, Dr. Bisiw-Korsi decided to try calling him again on air.
To the surprise of many, the phone rang for some time before a woman, who identified herself as a staff member at Heathrow Airport in the UK, answered the call.
The woman informed Dr. Bisiw-Korsi that Paul Adom Otchere’s phone had been found at the airport and was being kept at the lost and found department, awaiting its owner to retrieve it.
