Ghanaians on social media are asking where the deputy communication officer of the NDC Malik Basintale is after he was snubbed in John Dramani Mahama’s anti-corruption team.
It will be recalled during the NDC final rally in Madina Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) revealed that Malik Basintale is going to lead the NDC’s Operation Recover All Loot.
Speaking during NDC’s final rally ahead of the 2024 elections at Madina, Sammy Gyamfi stated, “Our monies that they have stolen under their beds, John Mahama has a message for them, he is coming in with Operation Recover All the Loot, and do you know one of the people who will lead Operation Recover All the loots give it up to the Basintale Boy”.
The Transition Team of President-elect John Dramani Mahama today December 18, 2024, unveiled a preparatory team to drive his anti-corruption agenda.
Spokesperson Felix Kwakye of John Mahama’s transition team in a statement disclosed the information.
The team has been tasked with laying the groundwork for Mahama Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL).
The team includes Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa – Chairman, Mr. Daniel Domelevo – Former Auditor-General, COP (Rtd.) Nathaniel Kofi Boakye, Mr. Martin Kpebu – Private Legal Practitioner, and Mr. Raymond Archer – Investigative Journalist.
With Malik Basintale missing from the list, some Ghanaians have taken to social media platforms on X to express their views and question why he was left out of Mahama’s anti-corruption team.

Malik Basintale should be made the spokesperson of this team. His motivation and momentum should be commended.
My only reservation. pic.twitter.com/4F57Q4b7Q2

I hope the likes of Okudzeto Ablakwa will continue their oversight, and Malik Basintale, who leads ORAL, will hold not just NPP appointees accountable but also those in John Mahama’s government – @NYB_LIVE

It seems the ‘Basintale Boy’ does not have the qualifications to be on the ORAL Committee https://t.co/6IgdEnUiiD pic.twitter.com/e0Cx7JoOhp

Why should you say Basintale is just a young Appiah Stadium who went to school?

Where is Basintale in the ORAL team? No one is more fit to lead the ORAL team in terms of confidence than the ‘BASINTALE BOY’
— Rahman osman (@iamrahmanosman) December 18, 2024
I thought Malik Basintale was the one going to lead the ORAL. Why is his name not part of the list? That guy should be careful or he will have a very short political career. He should calm down a little bit

Committees’ work is not meant for Okada riders. Basintale has been turned into a goro boy. pic.twitter.com/tfuAYmWAqQ
