The Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has heaped praises on veteran music producer and musician, Nacee for the incredible support given to the party during election periods.
When asked during an interview how the NDC gets inspiration for their campaign song, stated,
“Everyone has their work cut out for them and when someone does a good job you need to applaud them, and that way, they also do their job whole heartedly.”
According to candidate Mahama, most of the NDC campaign songs are written and produced by Nacee.
“A lot of the songs from Onaapo and all the songs, and Asem Pa Na Aba and Kwen kwen were all songs from Nacee,” he stated.
John Mahama disclosed that he always calls Nacee during election periods and tells him to work on campaign songs which he delivers on.
“When you look at sound engineering and music, Nacee is the best. When you look at Ghana he is very talented and every time we’re going to do an election, I call and him and say Nacee we’re about to go to battle and he will bring the song.”
The NDC’s Presidential Candidate noted that Nacee goes through a well thought out process, gaining in-depth understanding of the party’s manifesto before writing and producing campaign songs.
Mahama described Nacee as a very talented individual and appreciated his contribution to the NDC’s campaign over the years.
Campaign songs have become a big part of Ghana’s political atmosphere. In the past years, Ghanaians have become heavily expectant of campaign songs, anticipating them and judging the songs of all political parties.
