French side, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) say they have never given any consideration to swooping in for Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah as an addition to their squad.
Although the club considers Salah as a fantastic player, they say it has never crossed their mind to sign Salah.
The club’s chairman, Nasser Al-Khelaifi via a post on Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano’s X page is quoted as saying, “It’s NOT true. He’s a fantastic and amazing player, but we’ve never considered Salah to be honest. We know every club would love to have him, but this rumor about us is simply not true.”
“There are a lot of rumors about players, but we are very clear. We have one of the youngest teams in Europe, if not the youngest, with an average age of 22.5 years. We’re building a team for the future with our amazing coach.”
Salah’s Liverpool contract in the summer with speculation currently surrounding his future and the option to discuss a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club from the start of January.
The forward has hinted on two different occasions that his time at Liverpool is coming to an end.
On one occasion Salah said he had not received an offer from Liverpool and that he was “more out than in” and “disappointed” with the lack of progress. He also mentioned after Liverpool’s 2:0 trashing of Manchester City at Anfield that the game will be his last against Manchester City in the Liverpool jersey.
