The Member of Parliament for Tema West, Hon. Carlos K. Ahenkorah has said the NPP must bring out their pens and papers to conduct a post-mortem examination of the 2024 elections results.

According to Carlos Ahenkorah, the 2024 elections show Ghanaians are saying the NPP failed them, and he agrees.

Speaking on UTV Ghana, Carlos Ahenkorah stated, “We must bring out a pen and paper to conduct a post-mortem and dissect this and see what caused this because the Akufo-Addo government in the fourth republic no one comes close in terms of development. All Ghanaians are saying is that the NPP did not do what they wanted”.

Carlos Ahenkorah further detailed, “I can say a lot, Ghanaians have said we have failed them, and that is what Ghanaians are saying I agree with Ghanaians because Ghanaians have sent a signal to us that we have failed them, it is not the number of hospitals that you have built that we are looking at, it not about the commissioning of the flyovers”.

“Ghanaians are saying hospitals are not important even if it is important there are other things they need too, it is not just about hospitals, we must think about this”, he reiterated.

Meanwhile, the EC’s certified results, Mahama secured 6,328,397 votes, representing 56.55% of the total valid votes cast. His closest contender, Dr. Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), garnered 4,657,304 votes, representing 41.61%.
