The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has claimed the NPP dominated the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on social media during the 2024 elections.

According to Dr. Bawumia, the NPP was at a disadvantage because of the lack of support from key media houses.

He noted that the NPP communicator even though the media was not on their side fought very hard whenever they had the opportunity.

Speaking to the NPP communication team when they paid him a courtesy call, he stated, “I must say, like I said, we worked very hard on the campaign, I must tell you that I am very proud of the communication team, we did very well, and we did an excellent job I must congratulate you, we dominated the NDC on social media, by far”.

“We were working against their ownership or support from key media Houses isn’t it, so it put as at a disadvantage in many ways, in terms of the communication field, we had a lot of key media houses who were not on our side, but you fought very hard anytime you had the opportunity”, he added.

Dr. Bawumia added, “I have been following the communication very closely over the campaign because I wanted to know how things were going”.
