The President-elect John Dramani Mahama has today paid a courtesy visit to the Presidency after President Akufo-Addo’s invitation.
According to John Mahama, Ghanaians can be rest assured that our democracy is safe.
John Mahama wrote in a post on X, “We had a cordial meeting, and the President briefed me on security and the economy. Later today, we will inaugurate the Joint Transition Team”.
“I also expressed my sincerest appreciation to the President for his phone call on Monday to congratulate me. It was a good mark of statesmanship, giving me a sense of déjà vu”, he added.
John Mahana further wrote, “Democracy and Ghana are the winners following the electoral process. Despite all the anxieties people had ahead of the election and voting day, Ghana has done it again”.
“We can be sure that our democracy is safe, and by working together across bipartisan lines, we can continue to deepen and consolidate it”, he revealed.
