President Akufo-Addo has appealed to the Ghanaian populace to vote for the Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama as Ghana’s next President.
Ghanaians will go to the poll on Saturday December 7, 2024 to elect a new President and Parliamentary candidates for the nation.
As part of campaign activities of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), President Akufo-Addo has embarked on a three-day tour of the Greater Accra Region.
While speaking to a congregation of the Presbyterian church, Akufo-Addo appealed to Ghanaians to embark on a peaceful, free and fair election.
“I am appealing to you to make sure that what happens here next Saturday is indeed peaceful, free and fair. So that at the end of the day on Saturday all of us will agree that ex, you know my ex, the ex is one who we have all agreed to be our next president,” he added.
Netizens have attributed Akufo-Addo’s mentioning of “ex” to former President Mahama, claiming the President subtly endorsed Mahama and asked Ghanaians to vote for him at the expense of his party’s own candidate.
