A video has surfaced of a man claiming to have started Akufo-Addo’s Kalyppo trend in 2016.
In the viral video, the man claims he was the one who handed Akufo-Addo Kalyppo in a car at circle Accra.
Speaking in an interview the man stated, “We campaign for Nana Addo, I was the one who placed Kalyppo in Nana Addo’s hands in circle, but today as I am talking with you, Akufo-Addo has collapsed the Kalyppo company”.
Nana Addo in opposition in 2016 Kalyppo sip sparked the biggest marketing craze in Ghana’s political history, with the company selling out nationwide.
His popularity surged after a picture of him sipping a box of Kalyppo fruit juice went viral in 2016.
The viral image triggered a trend that saw various members of the New Patriotic Party and supporters creating their own forms of the image with Kalyppo.
