A viral video has surfaced on social media of Community members Gushegu constituency in wild jubilation.
The Community members Gushegu constituency were in wild jubilation as their member of parliament Hon. Lawyer Alhassan Tampuli, commissioned a streetlight for the community.
In the viral video shared on social media by EDHUB, the community members were shown gathered around the electric poll waiting for the light to be turned on, after the light was turned on the Gushegu constituent jubilated wildly.
Gushegu Municipal District is one of the sixteen districts in the Northern Region.
According to one social media user who commented under the post, the jubilation from the Gushegu constituent stems from the fact that they had no streetlights for a long time, so this comes as great news.
Politicians in Ghana often wait until the last days of an election before addressing the long-standing issues affecting their constituents in exchange for their votes.
Meanwhile, Ghanaians go to the polls in two days to decide their next president and parliamentarians for the next four years.
