A man in Wenchi has stunned locals after claiming to have survived seven gunshots during a confrontation with the police, thanks to the bulletproof charms he says he possesses.
The dramatic scene unfolded yesterday when tensions flared during clashes between the man and law enforcement officers.
According to the man, who wished to remain anonymous, he was caught in a fierce standoff with the police.
“They shot at me seven times, but none of the bullets penetrated my body,” he said confidently, as he displayed the supposed charms he claims to have been wearing.
“These charms protect me from harm. I knew the bullets wouldn’t touch me.”
Eyewitnesses at the scene were left in disbelief as the man appeared unscathed, even though police fired multiple rounds in his direction.
“I saw the police shooting directly at him, but he didn’t flinch,” one onlooker recounted. “It was like the bullets were bouncing off him.”
He explained that he had been gifted the powerful charms by a revered spiritual leader, who assured him they would shield him from harm, especially in moments of danger.
“I’ve always believed in these things,” he said, “and yesterday, I saw with my own eyes how they worked.”
Police, on the other hand, have yet to comment on the incident.
