Ghanaian Business Moguls, Osei Kwame Despite and Dr. Ofori Sarpong have been spotted casting their votes at the Legon District Police station.
The polling station falls within the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.
The constituency is currently being fiercely contested by the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate, John Dumelo and the incumbent, Lydia Alhassan of the New Patriotic Party.
The Electoral Commission (EC) begins the nationwide Special Voting exercise today.
This allows election officials, security personnel, and media practitioners to cast their ballots early ahead of the December 7 general election.
Initially planned for 328 centres, the exercise in the Western and Eastern Regions has been rescheduled to Thursday, December 5, 2024, due to a recall of ballots.
With 131,478 eligible voters representing 0.007% of the total voter population of 18.7 million, the polls will run from 7 am to 5 pm.
