The minority leader in parliament Ato Forson has given an inspiring people-centered speech in Parliament.
Ato Forson acknowledged that Ghanaians could rise to the occasion when it matters the most.
According to the lawmaker, the December polls was the people’s revolution against President Akufo-Addo’s bad governance.
Speaking in parliament, Ato Forson stated, “The 9th parliament will be unique and interesting, it will be a contest of ideas between the super NDC majority and the mini micro NPP minority”.
“What happened on the 7th of December polls was a revolution the people’s revolution, it was a revolt against a government that was obstinate, insensitive, high-handed, and dismissive of public opinion”, he added.
Ato Forson added, “It was a revolt against a government that called people with dissenting views names such as detractors, cynics, and naysayers sometimes they call views of dissenting people as Sanballat and Tobias, Ghanaians have clearly showed that they cannot be taken for granted, and when it matters the most, they will either reward those in office or punish those in office”.
“It is obvious the NPP has been punished for its poor governance, economic mismanagement, greed, state capture, the arrogance of power, impunity, disrespect, lawlessness, and persecution of political opponents”, Ato Forson emphasized.
