Yussif Ireni a National Democratic Congress (NDC) Party agent has demanded that the validation stamp number be filled in before the elections commence at the Holy Spirit polling station.
According to the NDC agent, he is here to defend his party not to be cheated.
He noted that if his fellow agents decide to remain mute, he does not care as he is here not to allow anyone to cheat him and his party.
Speaking during the heated exchange at Holy Spirit polling station, Yussif Ireni stated, “I am not fighting why are you blaming me, let them do the right thing before the vote starts, that is all, so I am not fighting, creating a scene that I am fighting”.
“I said until the right thing is done the votes will not start, if my brother decided to stay mute me, I don’t care I am here to defend my party not to be cheated, or to allow someone to cheat me that is all it is simple”, he boldly stated.
Meanwhile, the 2024 general elections are underway as Ghanaians vote to decide their next president and parliamentarian for the next four years.
In total 18 million registered voters are set to decide the nation’s next president and the structure of the 275-member Parliament.
In total, 12 candidates are vying for the presidency, with the front runners being the NPP’s Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, NDC’s John Mahama, Nana Kwame Bediako, and Alan Kyeremanten.
