A viral audio alleging to be the voice of the Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has surfaced on social media platforms.
In the viral audio the AI-generated voice of John Mahama was heard on a phone call bribing an Electoral commissioner official ahead of the 2024 elections.
The AI-generated voice alleged to be John Mahama stated, in the leaked audio, “Are you the leading returning officer, as we discussed in our previous meetings, make sure you talk to your colleagues to initiate the plan, I hope everything is ready to start, come to the office for the package and sharing with your colleagues who came into the previous meeting, that package is for the main operation a week before the elections”.
In the said audio claiming to be the voice of John Mahama, it must be noted that the audio is AI-generated, the audio cloned the voice of the NDC flagbearer to misinform Ghanaians ahead of the December polls.
