Ghanaian journalist, Paul Adom-Otchere has been missing in action ever since the National Democratic Congress (NDC) won the December 7, 2024 polls.
The NDC won overwhelmingly at the polls, securing 188 seats in parliament, with President-elect John Dramani Mahama polling 6,328,397 votes representing 56.55%, while the vice president and presidential candidate of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, secured 4, 657, 304, representing 41.61% of total votes cast.
Paul Adom-Otchere, a known New Patriotic Party (NPP) sympathizer and a prominent critique of the NDC and President-elect John Dramani Mahama has vanished from public ever since the NDC’s victory.
It was earlier on alleged he had fled to the United Kingdom but this was never confirmed up until now.
The National Women’s Organizer of the NDC, Dr. Hannah Bissiw-Kotei in an interview indicated that she had been unable to reach Paul Adom Otchere either via phone or in person.
She indicated that all her calls had been forwarded to voice mail, but she decided to place a call to Paul’s phone on live radio. Fortunately for her the call went through and was picked by a strange female voice.
During Hannah’s conversation with the lady, it was revealed that the lady worked at the Heathrow Airport and Paul’s phone had been founded and delivered to the airport’s lost and found office.
The lady wanted to confirm if the phone belonged to Hannah Bissiw-Kotei, but she denied and said she was rather looking for the phone’s owner.
Hannah Bissiw-Kotei who was surprised about the development gave Paul’s details to the airport, ending the conversation.
Paul’s phone being found at Heathrow airport goes to prove the allegation of him ‘fleeing’ to the UK true.
