One person is feared dead after a truck carrying wood lost its balance and fell on a motorbike.
The incident that happened in Asufufu, a suburb of Sunyani last night, was a horrible sight to see.
A lady who was a passenger of the motorbike was trapped under the truck and appeared to be lifeless as bystanders tried to rescue her.
In a video posted on X, the bystanders, after trying all they can and being unable to remove her from beneath the truck, could only look on sadly as they waited for help.
The rider of the motorbike was, however, fortunate to have been rescued by bystanders and taken to the hospital for treatment. Although he is in critical condition, he is reportedly alive and responding to treatment.
As of now, the cause of the accident is currently unknown.
However, there have been some speculations about the accident, with some saying the truck was overloaded and lost its balance. Others claim the motorbike rider was careless and crossed the truck, and others also claim the poor nature of the road is the cause of the accident.
So far, authorities have launched an investigation into the matter, and the culprit will be brought to book.
