The presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has cast his votes in the 2024 elections.
Dr. Bawumia cast his ballot in the Walewale constituency, which is in the Savannah Region.
In a video shared by UTV Ghana, Dr. Bawumia dressed in his white smock was captured at a polling station as he goes through the process to vote for his preferred candidate.
Speaking to the media after voting, he stated, “I am confident of victory. The people of Ghana have witnessed the transformation we have delivered, and I believe they will make the right choice to continue this path of progress”.
Meanwhile, the 2024 general elections are underway across the country as Ghanaians vote to decide their next president and parliamentarian for the next four years.
In total 18 million registered voters are set to decide the nation’s next president and the structure of the 275-member Parliament.
In total, 12 candidates are vying for the presidency, with the front runners being the NPP’s Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, NDC’s John Mahama, Nana Kwame Bediako, and Alan Kyeremanten.
