Video: Mother issues stern warning to child over elections

A mother has been seen issuing a serious warning to her ward to come home and vote.

In a video which surfaced online, the woman who was speaking to her child is school told her ward to make sure he/she gets home on time to vote.

She threatened to stop caring for her child if he/she does not come home to vote.

“You have been given the opportunity to come home and vote and you claim to have an IA.”

The child then told the mother he/she will be home at 6am to vote and the mother retorted, “if you don’t come on time to vote and the polls are closed, you will have to care for your own education…oh yes.”

Ghana’s 2024 general elections is currently underway across the country as Ghanaians vote to decide their next president and parliamentarian for the next four years.

In total 18 million registered voters are set to decide the nation’s next president and the structure of the 275-member Parliament.
