Voting at the Weija -Gbawe constituency has come to a halt following a protest by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate, Jerry Ahmed Shaib.
The constituency has been thrown into confusion after Jerry Ahmed Shaib stormed Gbawe Presby polling station demanding a halt of the Voting process.
His demands follows the swap of Presidential and Parliamentary pink sheets of different polling stations.
Although his concerns remain valid, the EC indicated that measures are being put in place to resolve the issue but Jerry Ahmed will not have it.
Some constituents who were present at the polling station has criticized the parliamentary candidate, saying it is wrong for him to even be at the polling station at this time, saying his actions are a threat to the safety of voters.
Constituents are fearful of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) also storming the polling station to do same.
Jerry Ahmed Shaib is contesting the Weija-Gbawe seat with the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) Felix Odartey Lamptey.
