The office of Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, the defeated MP for Ablekuma West and Communications Minister, has been broken into and ransacked by unknown intruders, sparking questions over the motive behind the shocking incident.
The break-in occurred just after the 2024 general elections, where Owusu-Ekuful lost her seat to National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Rev. Kweku Addo.
In an unexpected twist following her electoral defeat, Owusu-Ekuful’s office was found in disarray, with several items looted and significant damage caused.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the break-in, though no suspects have been identified as of now.
The timing of the attack has raised suspicions, with some speculating that the election loss may have played a role in the incident.
However, with Rev. Addo known for his peaceful demeanor and focus on community service, it remains unclear whether the attack is politically motivated.
Addo, a respected clergyman, entrepreneur, and educator, triumphed in the contest, securing 31,866 votes against Owusu-Ekuful’s 26,575.
As investigations continue, many are left wondering whether the break-in was a sign of deeper tensions following a fiercely contested election or an isolated act of vandalism.
