Three people have tragically lost their lives in an early morning crash on the Kasoa-Winneba Highway.
Several others were also injured and are currently receiving treatment at the Trauma and Specialist Hospital.
The accident occurred when a Hyundai Grace minivan, registered GR 5899-22, heading towards Kasoa, collided with a VW Sprinter minibus, registered GW 5477-24, traveling towards Winneba.
One person died at the scene, while two others succumbed to their injuries later at the hospital.
An eyewitness, Kweku Arthur told 3news.com that “driver of the sprinter bus made a wrongful overtaking and crashed into the other vehicle even though the driver of the other vehicle had spotted him and driven to the extreme shoulder of the road”.
He also mentioned that driver of the Hyundai Grace mini bus died on the spot.
