John Dumelo, the elected member of parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon has boldly stated the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat is never going back to the NPP.
According to John Dumelo, they have sent the elephant back into the bush and is not returning outside.
He noted that they have beaten the NPP Lydia Alhassan with over 13,000 votes.
Speaking to his constituent after he was declared winner John Dumelo stated, “We have sent the elephant back into the bush, the elephant is not coming back outside again, we have beaten them by 13,000 votes in Ayawaso West Wuogon, this seat is not going back to the NPP ever again, we have taken back our seat”.
John Dumelo further went on to bless the NDC supporters and Ghanaians for voting for him in the 2024 parliamentary elections.
According to the official result of the EC, John Dumelo secured 40,561 votes while incumbent Lydia Alhassan secured 27,377 votes.
Meanwhile, the New Patriotic Party is facing major defeats in the 2024 parliamentary elections, as several prominent Members of Parliament lose their seats to the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
