Highlife musician and entrepreneur, Rex Omar has called for an investigation and prosecution of Gyankroma Akufo-Addo, the daughter of President Akufo-Addo, under the Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) initiative.
In a recent interview, Omar accused Gyankroma, who served as a Board Member of the Creative Arts Council, of being involved in several controversial dealings.
He pointed to a $58 million allocation given to Gyankroma and her associates to purchase 307 ambulances for the country, calling for a thorough investigation into the matter.
Omar further claimed that Gyankroma was awarded a $34.9 million contract to purchase spare parts for those ambulances, arguing that the money could have been better spent on acquiring additional ambulances for the country instead.
“This is just one of the many instances of alleged looting that I believe should be investigated under the Operation Recover All Loots initiative,” Rex Omar stated.
