Ghanaian actor Prince David Osei has openly criticized former President John Dramani Mahama for his decision to contest the presidency once again.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the actor questioned Mahama’s determination to seek another term, despite having served in several high-ranking leadership positions throughout his political career.
Prince David Osei listed Mahama’s extensive public service record, writing:
“MP for 12 yrs, Deputy Minister – 4 yrs, Minister – 4 yrs, Vice President – 4 yrs, President – 4 yrs, Former President – 8 yrs. Still, Former President Mahama wants to be President again.
The greediness of some African Leaders must never be encouraged.”
The actor’s comments reflect a growing debate about whether Mahama’s comeback bid represents experience or a lack of fresh leadership alternatives.
In the same post, Prince David Osei declared his support for the Vice President and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, urging Ghanaians to vote for new leadership.
“Let’s all vote for a new person. Let’s vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia #1.”
