The presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has jabbed the NPP presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
According to John Mahama, the digital gate did not open for the digital man.
The Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Tuesday, December 3, launched a cutting-edge Digital Border Control System and e-gates at Kotoka International Airport (KIA), Accra.
The initiative is a landmark in Ghana’s efforts to modernize border management with a system designed, developed, and owned by Ghanaians.
During the launch, Dr. Bawumia decided to demonstrate to the media and all present at the launch how the e-gates operate.
However, after swiping his Ghana card at the e-gates, Dr. Bawumia stood there for about a minute as the gates refused to open.
Speaking on a campaign platform, John Mahama jabbed the vice president saying, “He swiped his Ghana card on it, but the gate said it would not open, he swiped it again and again the gate said it would not open, what I will say is that the digital gate did not open for the digital man”.
“And I will use his own words, and I will say, you can do all the propaganda with digitalization you like, but if the fundamentals of your digitalization are weak, the digital gate will expose you”, John Mahama mocked.
