John Dumelo, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate Ayawaso West Wuogon has accused Lydia Alhassan of vote-buying and fake text messages.
According to John Dumelo, the NPP are asking voters to take pictures of their ballot to come and show them 100 cedis and 200 cedis.
John Dumelo speaking to the media stated, “There are a lot of votes buying around, there is a lot of take your picture and come and show to us, I am talking about the NP, take a picture and come and show it to them and they will give you 200 cedis, 100 cedis there is a lot of vote buying”.
“But that is not going to stop people from deciding their fate. So far things are going smoothly. It is extremely irresponsible I don’t know why they have closed the border nonetheless; people are going to still come and vote for us”, he added.
John Dumelo further stated, “Yesterday, Lydia sent fake text messages in my name and I am sure some of you saw it, saying that you shouldn’t vote for a woman who has killed her husband these are all the crazy things they are trying to do”.
