John Dumelo, the NDC parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon has been sighted at the keenly contested Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency during the ongoing special voting today.
In the video shared by Metro TV Ghana, the actor-turned-politician was shown at one of the polling stations at the Ayawaso West Wuogon where he is looking to represent them as their member of parliament.
John Dumelo’s flagship proposal is the school-and-work (SAW) program, which aims to provide university students with remote work opportunities.
His main opponent in the 2024 parliamentary elections is the incumbent NPP member of parliament Lydia Alhassan.
Over 130,000 people are expected to participate in today’s special voting at 328 voting centers in 14 regions of the country.
The security personnel, including the Ghana Armed Forces, National Intelligence Bureau (NIB), National Security, Ghana Immigration Service, and Ghana National Fire Service.
Information Services Department, members of the National Ambulance Service, Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority, Prisons Service, journalists, and persons who will be on duty at different places on Election Day December 7.
Meanwhile, the Electoral Commission has ordered a recall and reprinting of ballot papers for the Eastern and Western Regions after a leakage was detected with the initial ballot papers.
As a result, the Commission has delayed special voting in Eastern and Western regions to Thursday, December 5, before the general election on Saturday, December 7.
