Ace broadcast Journalist Bridget Otoo has quizzed Ghanaians that Security agents are collecting food, and they expect mothers at the market to reject a whole 5 kg of rice.
Yesterday Lydia Seyram Alhassan was in a viral video sharing food and drinks with voters who are waiting for their turn in a queue to cast their ballot in the special voting exercise.
John Dumelo, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate in a media interview criticized the act as offensive and against electoral rules.
Speaking in an interview with the media, the member of parliament dismissed the allegations.
Lydia Alhassan stated, “I wasn’t here. I don’t know if you saw me here. I’ve been here since… I came here before 6 am, and I left here a few minutes ago. I don’t even know what you’re talking about, I am yet to find out from them what happened.”
Bridget Otoo wrote on X, “Security agents are collecting food, and you expect mothers at the market to reject a whole 5Kg rice? Herh Ghana politics gu nipa enimuase”.
Meanwhile, the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has since launched a probe into the food-sharing incident in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.
