The member of parliament for Ningo-Prampram Sam George has said former President John Mahama will know no peace until he signs the anti-LGBT bill.
According to Sam George, John Mahama in the BBC interview did not say he was not going to sign the bill, but what he said was in response to why Akufo-Addo has failed to sign the bill.
Speaking to the media at a polling station, he stated, “That is a misconception that has been put out and I listen to that full BBC video, president Mahama has been clear that he will sign that bill, and he has no option but to sign that bill”.
“President Mahama will know no peace, from Sam George until he signs that bill, and he himself has said that to the clergy that as a Christian and a member of the Assembly of God church, he will sign that bill”, he added.
Sam George further stated, “What the president said to the BBC was in response to why President Akufo-Addo has not signed the bill”.
He noted that President Mahama has read the bill it is because he read the bill that he told the clergy that when he becomes president, he will sign the bill.
