The statue of President Akufo-Addo has been fixed.
Broadcast journalist Berla Mundi shared a post on X showing the statue being fixed, along with a picture of it after the repairs were completed.
An unknown person reportedly vandalized the statue of President Akufo Addo some days ago.
The statue unveiled some months ago at Effia Nkwanta in the Western Region, was met with immense outrage from the public.
The Western Regional Minister Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah explained that the statue honors the president’s initiatives in the region, the rehabilitation of Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital, the construction of a 3-tier Sinohydro interchange, and the redevelopment of the Takoradi Market Circle.
There have been threats from some Ghanaians to bring the statue down after the NPP lost the 2024 elections.
Meanwhile, the NDC has threatened to relocate Akufo-Addo’s statue to his family house in Kyebi.
