The president of Ghana Akufo-Addo has criticized the National Democratic Congress (NDC)presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama for being a flip-flop.
Akufo-Addo noted that former President Mahama has been claiming he brought the Free SHS policy after seeing most Ghanaians have held onto it during the 2024 election campaign.
Speaking to a gathering of people, President Akufo-Addo said, “A lot of criticism of the policies, we can’t do it for another 20 years, are we going to wait for 20 years, by that time the country will collapse, we are not ready for it, and there is no money and all sorts of things”.
“The most surprising thing is that today Ghanaians have held onto, and he has seen for himself he has changed his mouth, he claims he is the one who brought the Free SHS have you heard some of this before?”, he added.
President Akufo-Addo added, “Mahama today is now claiming he brought free SHS, you have denied and denied it today you are claiming you brought it, my brothers we should all use this as advice we want a leader if he says yes, that is his yes, if he says no then is no, not somebody today it is yes tomorrow it is no, flip flop, a flip flop that is not who we are looking for”.
President Akufo-Addo and former President John Mahama have been having a go at each other ahead of the 2024 elections.
