Police launch investigation into attack on Ursula Owusu’s office and residence

The Ghana Police Service has launched an investigation into a shocking incident involving a gang of about 15 men who invaded and vandalized the office and residence of the Minister of Communication and Digitalization, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful.

The attackers reportedly made away with valuable items, including three motorbikes, a pickup vehicle, and a 32-inch Samsung television set, among others.

In a statement, the Police revealed that “a Crime Scene Management team has visited the location as part of the ongoing investigation.”

Additionally, a targeted intelligence-led operation is underway to identify and arrest the perpetrators to ensure they face justice.

The Police leadership has assured the public of their commitment to resolving the case, stating, “The Police leadership remains in contact with Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful and has taken immediate measures to enhance security at both her office and residence to ensure her safety.”

The Police Service remains resolute in its efforts to bring the culprits to book and uphold public safety.
