Police launch investigation into attack on NDC running mate’s convoy

The Ghana Police Service has launched an investigation into an incident involving the convoy of Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), on Friday, November 29, 2024.

According to a police statement released on Saturday, November 30, preliminary report indicates that the incident occurred between Akuse and Kpong,

along the Akosombo-Accra Highway in the Eastern Region, when a dispatch rider from the opposite direction allegedly threw an object at the windscreen of a vehicle in the running mate’s convoy, causing damage to the windscreen.
