The Ghana Police Service has announced road diversions in Accra ahead of the final rallies of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) scheduled for later today.
The move aims to ensure smooth traffic flow, safeguard public safety, and prevent clashes between supporters of the two major political parties.
The NPP rally will take place at the University of Ghana Stadium in Legon, while the NDC will gather at Zurak Park in Madina.
Speaking at a press briefing in Accra, ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Director of the Police Public Affairs Directorate, highlighted the traffic management measures.
Key routes near both venues will be diverted, with alternative roads made accessible to commuters.
The police have emphasized the importance of compliance with these measures to minimize disruptions and maintain order.
Enhanced security will also be deployed at the rally locations and surrounding areas to prevent any disturbances.
The public has been urged to cooperate fully with the police and to use alternative routes to avoid congestion.
