Peter Mac Manu, a prominent member of the New Patriotic Party has stated the NPP’s objective still is to break the eight and nothing has changed.
Speaking to the media after arriving at the National Collation Center, he stated, “I just came in, it fine, that continues to be our objective our key objective is to break the eight nothing has changed we haven’t deviated, and nothing has changed from that, well time will tell.
Meanwhile, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is projecting a decisive lead for its presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, in the 2024 general elections. According to the party’s collation of results from 37,305 out of 40,976 polling stations, Mahama has garnered 6,013,956 votes, representing 56.43% of the total valid votes cast.
The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, trails with 4,393,918 votes, or 41.22%. The NDC’s figures suggest a margin of 1,620,038 votes separating the two leading candidates. With 90.98% of polling stations reporting, the NDC remains confident of victory.
Provisional results from the 2024 general elections have started dripping in, as an early glimpse of the nation’s voting trends and new composition in parliament are being seen.
